La Asociación de Preparadores de Tierras y Sustratos para Cultivo it is an open and non-profit association that contributes to the exchange of experience and acts as a point for the harmonisation and dissemination of information among the professionals engaged in the sector. It groups together companies that have been legally incorporated in Spain and whose core activity is the manufacture of soils and substrates, which are the media used for farming other than natural soil for growing garden plants and in horticulture.

La Asociación Catalana de Preparadores de Tierras y Sustratos para Cultivos was founded on February 16, 1981 in Barcelona. This year (2006) is our 25th anniversary On November 25, 1982, la Asociación de Preparadores de Tierras y Substratos para Cultivo was set up in Madrid by nine founding partners.
